2 missing from Wheeling could be in southern West Virginia

BECKLEY, W.Va. — Authorities are asking for tips searching for two people from Wheeling that could be in Raleigh County.

Trevor Vossen, 27, is described as a 5’8″ white male weighing about 170 pounds. Lauren Jenkins, 28, is a 5’5″ black female also weighing about 170 pounds.

Deputies are also looking for a white Honda Accord with West Virginia license 73K986. It is believed Jenkins had a friend in Raleigh County but the pair could be anywhere in West Virginia. She is five months pregnant.

During a Friday press conference, reporters asked Raleigh County Sheriff Scott Van Meter if two bodies found on August 15 in the Sullivan area could be related to the case. Van Meter said he could not confirm a possible connection as they are still waiting on results from the state medical examiner.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department at 304-255-9300 or Crime Stoppers of West Virginia at 304-255-STOP (7867).
