Capital High School to open Monday after week of closure

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Capital High School in Charleston will be open Monday after classes were canceled all week due to mold issues.

According to school officials, Belfor Property Restoration completed recleaning 14 classrooms and 11 office spaces on Friday. Air scrubbers also ran on Friday.

Air samples will be delivered to a lab on Saturday and results will be in on Sunday.

If the test results are not satisfactory, school administrators to have a plan to keep students in rooms approved for occupancy.
