FAIRMONT, W.Va — Two weeks after announcing his intention to enroll in a prep school following his senior season in 2019, Fairmont Senior’s Jalen Bridges picked up an offer from West Virginia.
Bridges posted a message on his Twitter page (@jalenbridgess) Monday night:
“Beyond blessed to announce that I have received an offer from West Virginia University.”
The 6-foot-7 small forward holds 21 Division I offers, including Penn State and Temple. His mid-major offers include Marshall, Canisius, Drake, Drexel, Hofstra, IUPUI, Howard, James Madison, UNC-Greensboro, Northern Kentucky, Old Dominion, Ohio, Robert Morris, Samford, UT-Martin, Tulane, Western Carolina and Youngstown State.
The rising senior has won a pair of state titles at Fairmont Senior and advanced to the state championship game three consecutive seasons. He earned first-team all-state honors as a junior, alongside teammates Zyon Dobbs and WVU Mountaineer Taevon Horton.
