XENIA, Ohio — Three West Virginia men were killed in a crash in Ohio earlier this week, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Brett Helsley, 18, of Bunker Hill, was driving on U.S. Route 35 near Xenia, Ohio, Wednesday, when he came upon stopped traffic. Police said Helsley’s car clipped another vehicle and then slammed into the rear of a stopped tractor trailer.
Helsley was killed along with two passengers, Pierre Green, 24, and Aikeem Tyson, 21, both of Charleston. None of the victims were wearing seatbelts, authorities said.
The Herald-Mail reports the wreck occurred at about 12:15 p.m. Wednesday.
