Kanawha County ambulance crew heads to North Carolina for hurricane efforts

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority team left Tuesday evening to North Carolina to assist with efforts before Hurricane Florence makes landfall.

Twelve members and five ambulances will be in Garner, North Carolina.

Hurricane Florence is expected to make landfall late Thursday as a Category 4 storm.

The crew is designated specifically for emergencies rather than day-to-day calls.
