Child killed in Mercer hit and run

BLUEWELL, W.Va. — A child was struck and killed in a hit-and-run Thursday evening in Mercer County.

The collision occurred in Bluewell on Route 20. Police said a person driving a dark-colored Toyota minivan hit the child but didn’t stop. The van was headed toward Princeton.

The Mercer County Sheriff’s Department and other police agencies were searching for the van late Thursday night.
