Vehicle located in Mercer County hit-and-run death

PRINCETON, W.Va. — Mercer County authorities have located the vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run in Bluewell Thursday evening.

A two-year-old boy was killed in the incident on Route 20 near the intersection of Littlesburg Road. According to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department, the child was alone on the roadway when he was struck. The vehicle was impounded late Thursday night, and will undergo forensic testing.

The driver was with the vehicle at the time it was located but was not taken into custody.
