Berkeley County deputies still looking for tips in fatal hit-and-run case

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — After a few weeks of investigation, Berkeley County deputies continue to look for tips from a hit-and-run accident that killed a motorcyclist.

Authorities responded to the intersection of Edwin Miller Boulevard and Warm Springs Avenue at around 9 pm on September 4 for an accident involving a motorcyle. Upon arrival, they discovered Michael Kilmer, 38 of Martinsburg, had been struck by a pick-up truck. Kilmer was pronounced dead at Berkeley Medical Center.

Witnesses describe the truck as a dark Ford, possibly a 90’s model. It was last seen traveling along Warm Springs Avenue toward Williamsport Pike.
