Maryland man killed in Martinsburg motorcycle crash

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A Hagerstown, Maryland man is dead after he was struck on his motorcycle by a pickup truck in Berkeley County.

West Virginia State Police said Bryan Turner, 51, was traveling southbound in the 4000 block of Winchester Avenue (U.S. Route 11) when a northbound Toyota Tundra operated by Anthony Delsignore, 33 of Charles Town, crossed the center line and struck him.

Troopers and the South Berkeley Fire Department responded to the scene at around 7:45 Thursday morning. Turner was pronounced dead at the scene.

Route 11 was closed for over an hour as both vehicles caught fire following the collision. No other injuries were reported.

West Virginia State Police continue to investigate the incident. This marks the second fatal motorcycle crash in a week on Route 11 in Berkeley County.
