BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — They call it the biggest party in Berkeley Springs and it returns this weekend.
The 2018 Apple Butter Festival will officially kicked off Saturday morning with a parade at 9 leading up to events from the Berkeley Springs State Park.
Events throughout the weekend will include trolley rides, apple butter making, a turtle race, and baking contests.
Jeannie Mozier has served as the voice of the festival for many years. On Thursday’s addition of Panhandle Live on MetroNews affiliate WEPM, she said attendees should try to arrive as early as possible.
“This weekend, we have guaranteed beautiful weather,” said Mozier. “So, that means we will be packed. I would say, easily 40,000 people will pass through the festival.”
The Festival will runs Saturday and Sunday closing at 5 p.m. each evening. More information can be found here.
