WINFIELD, W.Va — The Class AA No. 4 Dots improved to 7-0 with a 33-14 win at Winfield. 

Ethan Payne’s 22-yard TD run halfway through the first quarter gave the Dots the 7-0 lead. Payne added an 11-yard touchdown run to make it 14-0 in the second quarter, but Nick Vance’s 6-yard touchdown pass to Cameron Brooks allowed the Generals (2-4) to enter halftime trailing, 14-7.

Payne’s third rushing touchdown halfway through the third quarter upped Poca’s lead to 21-7, before Owen McClanahan reached the end zone on a 9-yard run to extend the lead to 27-7.

Winfield never got closer than 13 points the rest of the way.
