Two men arrested after leaving Huntington Tri-State Airport with drugs

HUNTINGTON W.Va. — Two men from the western part of the United States have been arrested on drug charges after leaving the Huntington Tri-State Airport on Friday.

Gerardo Delgadillo Jr., 21, of Goodyear, Arizona, and Adrian Gutierrez, 19, of South Gate, California, were caught leaving the airport with 56 pounds of marijuana.

A West Virginia State Police trooper pulled the men over after the officer saw their license plate wasn’t secure. According to police, the trooper saw a large suitcase in the car and the scent of drugs inside the vehicle was indicated by a WVSP K9.

After searching the vehicle, the criminal complaint states the trooper found three suitcases in the vehicle with 50-vacuum sealed bags of suspected marijuana inside of them.

The men are being charged with possession with intent to deliver and transporting a controlled substance into the state and are being held at the Western Regional Jail on $200,000 cash only bonds.
