MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — More than 30 cars had their windows broken and items stolen early Saturday morning.

The thief or thieves broke windows on 33 or 34 cars parked at the Area 200 parking lot, adjacent to the WVU College of Law, university spokesperson April Kaul said.

She said the break-ins occurred between 3-6 a.m.

The university’s police department was speaking with vehicle owners, reviewing cameras and monitoring social media, she said.

The cost of parking in Area 200 is $366 a year, according to WVU’s transportation and parking website.
