Raleigh County crash victim succumbs to injuries

BECKLEY, W.Va. — A man who was injured in a two-vehicle crash last week in Raleigh County died from his injuries, on Tuesday.

The collision occurred on Interstate 77 in the Mabscott area near Beckley on October 23rd.  William Sloan III was initially transported to Raleigh General Hospital before being transferred by helicopter to Charleston Area Medical Center, where he later succumbed to internal injuries sustained in the accident.

The name of the other driver involved has not been released, and no charges have been filed.  An investigation is being conducted by the West Virginia State Police.
