Crash in eastern Kanawha County claims life

The crash occurred last Thursday morning on U.S. Route 60.

BELLE, W.Va. — A woman was killed in a vehicle crash Thursday morning in eastern Kanawha County.

According to authorities, the crash occurred on U.S. Route 60 in the westbound lanes near the Dupont-Simmons Creek exit at around 11:15 a.m.

The vehicle the woman was riding in overturned. A man in the vehicle was injured and taken to a Charleston hospital.

State police troopers are investigating.
