South Charleston man killed while crossing I-64 on foot

DUNBAR, W.Va. — New information has been released on a fatal accident on Interstate 64 Thursday that left one pedestrian dead.

Jesse Holt Jr., 36, of South Charleston was hit and killed while crossing Interstate-64 on foot in the Dunbar area.

Dunbar Police said they are unaware exactly why Holt decided to cross the interstate by foot and added he was wearing dark colored clothing and had no source of reflective material on him.

According to authorities, the driver of the vehicle was not impaired and fully cooperated during the investigation.

No charges will be sought against the driver.
