Lottery deputy director set to begin new job with Department of Education

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The deputy director of marketing at the West Virginia Lottery is leaving that job to take another position in state government.

Tommy Young’s last day with Lottery is Friday. Next week he’ll begin a new position with the state Department of Education.

The department confirmed Thursday Young will become the new executive director of School Facilities and Transportation.

Young has more than 30 years of experience in design, construction and maintenance.He’s been at the Lottery for about three years.
