Two dead in Upshur County wreck

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — Speed is believed to be a factor in an accident in Upshur County that claimed two lives Thursday night in Upshur County.

Candelario Gabriel Dedezma, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene of an accident on Rt. 20 North just south of the intersection with Rt. 119.

The vehicle was traveling south when the driver apparently lost control, went sideways and left the roadway, through a fence, and flipped multiple times.

Dezema, the driver, was ejected and pronounced dead on scene.

The passenger, William Dakota Wolfe, 24, was also ejected. He suffered full cardiac arrest en route to St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was pronounced dead in the emergency room.

Police responded at approximately 7:45 p.m.

The Upshur County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
