Body of soldier returned to Mountain State

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The body of a West Virginia soldier killed in a training exercise in California last week arrived back in the Mountain State Thursday night.

The flag-draped casket that arrived at Yeager Airport was met by family and friends of Specialist Nicholas Caleb Jividen, 21, of Poca.

Jividen was based in Florida. He was a signal analyst with 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne). He died Nov. 6.

Funeral services are set for Monday. Jividen will be buried at the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery in Institute.
