Carrie Dunmire of Ivydale, W.Va. with her first ever Buck. Killed 11-23-2018

IVYDALE, W.Va. — A Clay County woman worried her buck wasn’t all that big, but her husband encouraged her to send it into the contest anyway. It was a wise decision since Carrie Dunmire of Ivydale, West Virginia is the winner of our November prize drawing in the Ram Trucks Trophy Photo Contest.

Carrie killed the small buck near her home in Clay County the day after Thanksgiving. It was her first ever deer killed with a rifle.

Carrie says she bow hunted for many years and was successful, but in recent yeas suffered a shoulder injury which makes it impossible for her to pull back the bow anymore. Last Christmas her husband Todd bought her a 7mm-08 rifle. She used it to take her first buck with a gun.

Carrie will receive the “Be Prepared” prize package from Ram Trucks which includes a Ram Ogio Rouge Backpack, Ram Swiss Army Knife and Ram LED Flashlight.
