Elkins murder suspect awaits preliminary hearing

ELKINS, W.Va. — A preliminary hearing comes later this month for the woman accused of killing a man in Randolph County and then fleeing for two weeks.

Vanessa Logan, 32, of Oakland, Maryland, is charged with one felony count of first-degree murder in the Nov. 18 shooting death of Spencer Zoller. Zoller, 49, was found shot to death at his home on Gum Road near Elkins.

Logan was arrested without incident Nov. 29 at the Healthy Heights Mobile Home Park in Morgantown. She is being held without bail at the North Central Regional Jail.

A hearing is slated for Dec. 17 to determine if there was probable cause for her arrest.
