Teenager killed in Fayette County crash

MONTGOMERY, W.Va. — A teenager was killed in a two-vehicle crash on state Route 61 Sunday evening in Fayette County.

The collision occurred at around 6:20 p.m. just southeast of Montgomery at the intersection of Armstrong Creek Road near Adena Village.

Authorities said the victim was driving one of the vehicles. The other driver had to be cut out of the vehicle and is in stable condition at an area hospital.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department is investigating. The names of those involved have not been released.
