QUINCY, W.Va. — A man was in critical condition at a Charleston hospital Wednesday after a domestic dispute on Christmas night at a home in eastern Kanawha County.

According to sheriff’s deputies, the victim and his nephew got into an argument at the home of another family member on Quincy Hollow Road late Tuesday night.

“It was all verbal from what we understand and the nephew got up to leave and got into his vehicle,” said Kanawha County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Brian Humphreys. “As they were trying to leave, the uncle came outside and started beating on the driver’s side window, cracking it, although it did not break.”

As the nephew was leaving the uncle was run-over. He’s in critical condition at CAMC and police continue their investigation.

Humphreys said it’s unclear what the two were arguing about and so far there have been no charges filed. The investigation continues.
