Police issue warrant for Fairmont man in shooting

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The Fairmont Police Department has issued a warrant for first-degree murder for William Edward “Ed” “Pumpkin” Littleton, 26 of Fairmont, for the shooting death of Justin Michael Cassella. Littleton is considered to be armed and dangerous and anyone who sees him is urged to call 911.

According to a press release, on Dec. 26, the Fairmont police responded to 2004 Dixie Ave., Fairmont, to a report of an unknown male being found dead in that residence. The responding officers found that the male had an apparent gunshot wound to the upper torso. The male was later identified as Cassella, 33, of Fairmont. The body was transported to the Office of The Chief Medical Examiner in Charleston for an autopsy.

On  Dec. 28, the Fairmont Police Department’s Detective Division arrested Richard Allen Moore II, 34, of Fairmont, for first-degree murder of Cassella. No bond has been set. Moore is housed at the North Central Regional Jail.
