MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — From start to finish, Dana Holgorsen did it his way.
After five days worth of rumors, Holgorsen officially announced that he was the new head coach at the University of Houston, bringing an end to his eight-year tenure at West Virginia.
The video was done in classic Holgorsen fashion — visor, can of Red Bull and a catch phrase.

“Y’all wanna go win some games? Let’s go win some games,” Holgorsen asks Houston fans in the 5-second video.
That particular phrase is a paraphrase of when he asked Mountaineers quarterback Will Grier “You wanna go win the game? Let’s go win the game,” before West Virginia’s game-winning two-point conversion attempt at Texas. The moment was caught on TV and went viral in the days following the win against the Longhorns.
Within a minute of Houston posting the video, West Virginia athletic director Shane Lyons posted an update on West Virginia’s coaching search.

Cincinnati coach Luke Fickell and Troy coach Neal Brown are expected to be the first two coaches interviewed for the now-officially vacant position.
