Two in Bridgeport facing multiple charges after fire

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — Two Harrison County residents are facing charges in connection to an arson investigation.

Derrick John Harbert, 27, of Stonewood, and Cheyene Sue Ayoob, 26, of Clarksburg are accused of breaking into an outbuilding near a Johnson Avenue business in Bridgeport in the early morning hours of Jan. 10.

The two are accused of burglary, fourth degree arson, and entering without breaking. They reportedly set fire to the contents of the building.

Earlier Thursday afternoon, the two were apparently at the business again and were “being disruptive” and refusing to leave the premises.

The two were also found to have separate capias warrants outstanding in Harrison County. Ayoob faces additional charges of obstructing an officer. Harbert is charged with false evidences and forgery of title and registration.

The investigation is ongoing with additional charges pending.
