Beckley man charged with sexually abusing, threatening child

BECKLEY, W.Va. — A Raleigh County man has been charged with sexually abusing a child during a seven-year period and threatening her life.

Kevin Swagger, 32, of Beckley, allegedly assaulted the girl multiple times between 2009 and 2015, and threatened to kill her and her mother if she told anyone about the crimes. The alleged victim was under 12-years-old at the time.

Swagger was charged with sexual abuse by a parent or guardian and sexual assault in the first degree. He is being held at the Southern Regional Jail under a $100,000 bond.
