SPENCER, W.Va. — Police in Roane County have charged a second man in connection with a November 2018 murder.
Sandyn Alex Tawney, 22, of Spencer, was arrested earlier this week. He’s charged with first degree murder in the Nov. 18 death of James Hall. Troopers earlier arrested Michael Smith, also on a first degree murder charge.
Hall was found dead of multiple gunshot wounds. A criminal complaint alleges Tawney and Smith had gone to the residence in the Spencer area to collect money.
Tawney is lodged in the Central Regional Jail without bail.
