Detroit man charged in Morgantown drug case

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — An early morning search on Monday by the Morgantown Police Department resulted in an arrest and the seizure of a large amount of heroin.

Dylan Trvonne Davis, 19, of Detroit, is charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver a controlled substance.

About 5:30 a.m., MPD searched 220 Highland Avenue as part of an on-going drug investigation, a press release stated. Five ounces of heroin and $3,000 were found during the search.

Packaging materials and a scale were also located in the search and all of the items were found in Davis’ bedroom, according to a criminal complaint.

Davis is currently waiting to be arraigned in Monongalia County Magistrate Court.
