GREAT CACAPON, W.Va. — A Morgan County man has been charged after allegedly stabbing a woman in Maryland then threatening to kill her children.
On Tuesday around 8 p.m., Morgan County 911 received a call from Maryland State Police requesting assistance finding Victor Kitchen, 53 of Great Cacapon.
Kitchen was wanted for an alleged stabbing that occurred earlier in Allegheny County, Maryland.
Troopers found the 35 year-old victim along Maryland Route 51 near Landis Drive. EMS responded to treat her stab wounds.
Police received information that Kitchen was allegedly en route to the victim’s children at a home along Cacapon Road to kill them. West Virginia State Police and Paw Paw Police responded.
Police found Kitchen on Cacapon Road and arrested him without incident. Officers also determined he was driving under the influence.
Kitchen faces charges of attempted second degree murder, first and second degree assault, false imprisonment and possession of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure.
He was also a fugitive from justice from Maryland. He is being held in the Eastern Regional Jail without bond.
