CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — A man was killed in an officer-involved shooting in Clarksburg Monday morning.
The incident occurred at a home at 1727 Hamill Avenue in the North View section of Clarksburg at around 10:17 a.m.
According to Clarksburg Police Chief Robbie Hilliard, three Clarksburg police officers were serving a domestic violence protective order when the victim pulled a gun on the officers. He was then shot by police.
North View was placed on a lockdown, but it has since been lifted.
The investigation has been handed over to the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department.
The man’s name was not immediately released.
