FAYETTEVILLE, W.Va. — An Oak Hill man pleaded guilty this week to charges related to fleeing from authorities in August 2017.

Bryan Allen admitted to fleeing from Cpl. Andrew Hudson following an investigation into a motor vehicle accident. He drove in excess of 100 miles per hour while running from the Oak Hill Police Department and Fayette County Sheriff’s Department.

Allen crashed his vehicle into the truck of Bobby Mack Sr. at the intersection of U.S. Route 19 and Appalachian Drive. Mack was treated for his injuries.

A Fayette County jury convicted Allen in December 2018 on charges of attempted robbery, conspiracy, assault during the commission of a felony and unlawful assault.

Allen admitted during a plea hearing he was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the act. He faces between three to 10 years in prison on this charge.

Allen will be sentenced on Feb. 26.
