Four injured in Preston County wreck

KINGWOOD, W.Va. — The Preston County Sheriff’s Department said four juveniles were taken to area hospitals after an accident Wednesday afternoon in northern Preston County.

Because of their age, the names of the injured are not being released by police, according to a news  release from the department.

The single-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of North Preston Highway (W.Va.26) and Furfin Road.

Police said the vehicle was northbound on North Preston Highway when it hit standing water in the road. The driver lost control and the vehicle  left the road and hit a tree.
