Justice appoints Capito to WVU Board of Governors

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A Charleston native is now on the West Virginia University Board of Governors.

Governor Jim Justice announced on Friday that he has appointed Charles L. Capito Jr. to the board, replacing Thomas Flaherty. He is the Managing Director and Complex Manager for the Wells Fargo Advisors office in Charleston and his term will run through June 30, 2022.

Flaherty’s term expired June 30, 2018, and he was not eligible for reappointment, per release.

Capito Jr. is the husband of U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito.
