Class A girls basketball state tournament seeds set

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. — Seeding for the 2019 West Virginia high school girls basketball Class A state tournament.

CLASS A STATE TOURNAMENT SEEDS

1. St. Joseph Central (20-4)

2. Parkersburg Catholic (22-1)

3. Magnolia (17-8)

4. Wheeling Central (15-9)

5. Tucker County (17-6)

6. Trinity (17-8)

7. Summers County (16-9)

8. Midland Trail (19-6)

State tournament play overall will run from Wednesday, March 6 through Saturday, March 9 at the Charleston Civic Center. The Class A quarterfinals will all be played on Thursday.

Wednesday, March 6

Game 1: No. 3 Magnolia vs. No. 6 Trinity, 9:30 a.m.

Game 2: No. 2  Parkersburg Catholic vs. No. 7 Summers County, 1 p.m.

Game 3: No. 1 St. Joseph Central vs. No. 8 Midland Trail, 5:30 p.m.

Game 4: No. 4 Wheeling Central vs. No. 5 Tucker County, 9 p.m.

Friday, March 8

Semifinal: Game 1 winner vs. Game 2 winner, 9:30 a.m.

Semifinal: Game 3 winner vs. Game 4 winner, 1:00 p.m.

Saturday, March 9

Class A girls basketball state championship, Noon.
