Berkeley County woman will spend life in prison for deaths of sons

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A Berkeley County woman will spend life in prison without a recommendation of mercy for the deaths for her two sons.

Molly Jo Delgado

Berkeley County Prosecuting Attorney Catie Wilkes Delligatti announced Wednesday that a Berkeley County petit jury returned that verdict for Molly Jo Delgado, 30, of Falling Waters. Delgado will not have an opportunity to be granted parole eligibility.

A grand jury indicted Molly Delgado in May 2017 for a fatal arson in a January 2017 incident. Charges against Delgado included two counts of murder, as well as single counts of first-degree arson and attempted first-degree murder stemming from the deaths of 5-year-old Justin Delgado Junior and 3-year-old Delmer Delgado.

In early February, Delgado pled no contest to the two counts of first-degree murder.
