Two charged after crashing into gate at Clarksburg FBI facility

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — Two people are facing charges after crashing their vehicle through the West Gate of the FBI’s CJIS Center in Clarksburg Tuesday.

According to a statement issued from the FBI Pittsburgh Office, the incident happened at around 8 a.m. Tuesday following a pursuit by FBI Police. The vehicle crashed over the hill and both suspects took off on foot before being apprehended later.

The female was arrested near the scene. The male was arrested by Bridgeport Police.

In the statement, FBI Pittsburgh Special Agent in Charge Robert Jones commended the work of the FBI Police and Bridgeport Police who helped take the suspects into custody quickly.

No injuries are reported, and the investigation is continuing. At this time, there are believed to be no ties to terrorism.
