BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va. — Cabell County authorities took a man into custody Monday following an alleged attempted child abduction at the Huntington Mall.
According to Barboursville Mayor Chris Tatum, the individual tried to grab a child by the hair inside a store. The child’s mother scared the man away.
The woman later identified the man in the food court, and Barboursville Police and mall security arrested the man. Cabell County Sheriff’s deputies were also present to secure the area.
