HARRISON COUNTY, W.Va. — Human remains discovered this week in Harrison County when a worker was clearing brush near Clarksburg have been identified.

The skeletal remains found Monday off Route 19 were those of Richard Lee Stonebreaker, 47, of Clarksburg, according to information from Harrison County Sheriff Robert Matheney.

Stonebreaker was reported missing in May 2015.

A cause of death had not been determined as of Saturday, he said.

Earlier in the search for him, investigators had said Stonebreaker had a number of health problems.
