Wrong-way crash in Pennsylvania claims life of Morgantown woman

CANONSBURG, Pa. — A West Virginia woman was killed in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 79 in Pennsylvania early Saturday morning, according to authorities in Washington County, Pa.

Information from the coroner indicated Amanda Sue Towns, 28, of Morgantown, was driving north in the southbound lanes of I-79 before 4 a.m. Saturday when her vehicle hit another vehicle traveling south near Canonsburg.

Towns was killed.

The condition of the other driver who was hurt, said to be a 28 year old woman, was not available on Sunday.

Pennsylvania State Police were investigating.
