Alleged drug supplier arrested in Huntington

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Huntington authorities on Wednesday arrested a man they consider to be a large supplier of drugs in the city.

Members of the Huntington Violent Crime-Drug Task Force issued a warrant to arrest Tyson Davis, of Akron, Ohio, and search an apartment at 1110 Rear 9th Ave. Detectives found more than 100 grams of suspected fentanyl, heroin, pills, marijuana and paraphernalia for packaging and selling drugs, in addition to money, a cell phone and scales.

They also recovered two guns, in which one firearm was reported stolen from the Barboursville area.

Davis was charged with three counts of being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm and two counts of possession of drugs with the intent to deliver.

Authorities detained a woman at the scene. She was released. A letter will be issued to the property owner regarding the activity.
