Name released in fatal Mercer County vehicle collision

MERCER COUNTY, W.Va. — Police have released the name of a man killed in a fatal Tuesday morning crash in Mercer County.

Deputies in the county said Michael Ombler, 30, of Bluefield was killed when the passenger vehicle he was driving collided with a pickup on Airport Road.

Authorities said the crash happened around 7 a.m. as two people inside the pickup truck were seriously injured.

The investigation is ongoing by the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office.
