Man killed in collision with train in Lincoln County

RANGER, W.Va. — One person died Tuesday from a collision between a train and a UTV in Lincoln County.

According to West Virginia State Police, 69-year-old Ralph Edward Baker, of Ranger, died on the way to the hospital.

Troopers said Baker was a passenger on the side-by-side vehicle. The driver, Michael Belter, was flown to Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was listed in stable condition.

The incident happened around 9:15 a.m. at the Vannatters Creek Road crossing.
