Police ID body found in Jefferson County field

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has released the identity of the man found dead in a field near Charles Town.

On May 2, Devon Wallace of Alexandria, Virginia was found dead in a field near 4356 Summit Point Road wearing a black polo shirt over a red t-shirt and dark pants.

Investigators are now working to confirm the whereabouts of Wallace of May 1.

Any Jefferson County residents with outdoor surveillance in the area of Summit Point Road are being asked to check their footage from 8 in the evening on May 1st to 8 in the morning on May 2nd.
