UPDATE: Teenager among two killed in Morgan County crash

Update 5.6.19:

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — A teenager is among two people now confirmed dead after a crash on Route 522.

Morgan County Sheriff K.C. Bohrer said deputies responded to US Route 522 a half of a mile south of the Potomac River bridge Friday morning. Upon arrival, deputies found two heavily damaged pickup trucks on the northbound berm area.

One female victim was pronounced dead at the scene, now identified as Lexus Miller, 18 of Berkeley Springs. She was in the southbound pickup truck with an 18 year old male who was injured.

Sheriff Bohrer confirmed Saturday Charles Nutwell, 47 of Williamsport, Maryland died at a hospital.

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — One woman was killed and two others injured after a crash in Morgan County.

Morgan County Sheriff K.C. Bohrer said members of his department responded to US Route 522 a half of a mile south of the Potomac River bridge Friday morning.

Upon arrival, deputies found “two heavily damaged pickup trucks on the northbound berm area”. One of them had overturned.

Three victims were extracted from the crash. One female victim was pronounced dead at the scene. One male victim was taken to Meritus Hospital in Hagerstown, Maryland and another to a hospital in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.

Route 522 was closed for nearly two hours during the investigation. Identifications of those involved are being withheld until their families are notified.

West Virginia State Police, Hancock Police (Maryland) and several EMS and fire crews from West Virginia and Maryland responded.
