BECKLEY, W.Va. — A new acting director of the Beckley VA Medical Center will take his post on Sunday.
Kenneth Allensworth currently serves as the associate director of the Martinsburg VA Medical Center. He began working with the Department of Veterans Affairs in 1999 at the Robert J. Dole Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.
He is also a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Efforts are still ongoing to name a permanent director; former Director Stacy Vasquez now works as the director of the Birmingham VA Medical Center in Alabama.
