Ohio County principal resigns amid harassment allegations

WHEELING, W.Va. — An Ohio County middle school principal facing sexual and gender harassment claims has resigned.

Joseph Kolb, the now former principal at Bridge Street Middle School in Wheeling, had his resignation accepted by the county’s board of education on Friday morning.

On December 21, a civil lawsuit was filed in Ohio County Circuit Court by teachers Lindsay Ammirante, Autumn Troullos and Rachel Miller against Kolb for harassment claims that they say created a hostile work environment.

Ohio County Schools Superintendent Kim Miller and Assistant Superintendent Rick Jones were also named in the lawsuit for allegedly failing to properly investigate the teachers’ accusations and failing to protect them from alleged retaliation.
