Woman hit and killed by train in McDowell County

IAEGER, W.Va. — A woman has died in McDowell County after being hit by a train early Tuesday morning.

West Virginia State Police said the incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. at a crossing in the downtown section of laeger.

The female, who has not been identified yet, was walking on the tracks when struck by a Norfolk-Southern train.
