Bridgeport tunes up for state tourney with win over Charleston Catholic

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va.Highlights from Bridgeport’s 13-0 (5 inning) win over Charleston Catholic in the final state tournament tuneup game for both teams.

The Indians did all of their damage in the second and third innings, scoring four runs in the second and nine more in the third. Connor Robe tossed three shutout innings to collect the win.

Bridgeport (29-7) opens the Class AA state tournament Thursday afternoon against Shady Spring. Charleston Catholic (26-10) has drawn Wheeling Central Catholic on Friday’s semifinals. You can view all nine state tournament games on the ‘MetroNews Channel’ at wvmetronews.com.
