Fayette County man arrested after allegedly sexually abusing minor

FAYETTE COUNTY, W.Va. — A Fayette County man is accused of sexually abusing a minor.

According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, 33-year-old Richard Anthony Curl, of Red Star, is charged with first-degree sexual abuse, use of obscene material with intent to seduce a minor and sexual abuse by a parent, guardian or custodian.

The allegations follow a 2018 investigation.

Charleston police arrested Curl, who was wanted for multiple felony offenses.

Curl is at South Central Regional Jail with a $50,000 bond.
